Introducing VA Native-Author and Motivational Speaker Deborah L Parker!!!

Deborah L. Parker was born in Waverly Virginia, the oldest child of a very determined single parent and raised in the home of her wise grandparents. Her early years included active membership at the Liberty Baptist Church, where she was baptized at the age of 9.  She has had many success in her education and career. Yet along the way Deborah has encountered various setbacks and trials in her life, but the Lord has seen her through. She has learned to ‘never count yourself out’ because in the words of one of her favorite songs, “It Ain’t Over Until God Says it’s Done.” Putting all of her life and educational experiences together, Deborah has published 4 nonfiction books, which have been well-received by readers of all backgrounds. She shares a lot about her personal history in these books, to include honoring the memories and teachings from her family. They in addition to local and national heroes, provide her a sense of identity and strength.  Of particular note, one of the books Deborah has written is her motivational autobiography Navigating Life’s Roadways . The value of giving back and involvement in the community is important to Deborah.  She currently resides in Leesburg VA and is a member of the Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., American Society for Training and Development, and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, Virginia. When taking a break, Debbie enjoys travel, reading and long walks.
